In 2019, I graduated from the IDEA program at Capilano University with a Bachelor of Design in Visual Communications. Upon graduating, I was hired at
Engine Digital fresh off my internship as designer. Here, I worked with a wide range of clients on e-commerce, brand development, motion design, strategy and digital campaigns. From there, I partnered with Green Stone leading the development of the Design System & collaborating on UX deliverables for Kroll ( a corporate investigations and risk consulting firm). Currently I am embedded at Airbnb via Critical Mass working on the DLS (Design Language System) team crafting the source of truth for Design, Engineering and Product.
Spending my formative years studying the world’s oceans, climbing mountains and living abroad in New Zealand, has both widened my imagination and allowed me to see the world from many perspectives. These experiences continue to inform my creativity and the way I approach design: full force and with as much gusto and curiosity as possible. I like to zoom in and out within my creative process, to better understand a problem holistically and from all angles.
I’m passionate about capturing the world visually, exploring a feeling or an idea that is beyond words. Design is a powerful medium that unleashes ideas that can ultimately create both an impact and shift culture. Design connects us to one another and helps us accomplish our goals. It is important to me to be of service in creating this kind of change. (Adding this to avoid a widow >< heh).
